FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- We have compiled a list of questions that users frequently ask us. Please take a read over these before submitting any questions that need to be answered, as they may already be answered below.
- What is the Basic Correctional Officer Academy Process?
- The Process can be found by clicking here.
- When do you announce your recruitment schedules?
- Academies are conducted every month, normally towards the end of the month unless other circumstances force this to change. The actual schedule is announced around the middle of the month and can be found here.
- Do I have to attend every Academy session given?
- No. Only one of the three sessions need to be attended. Each one is exactly the same. We offer multiple sessions to provide a wide range of opportunities for applicants to attend.
- I have an admin record. Can I apply?
- Each admin record is assessed on a case-by-case basis. For us, there is no set protocol or guidelines that we adhere to. If it's recent but minor, this could mean it is ignored, but it all depends on the circumstances of the admin record. We recommend that you apply anyway.
